George and his wife Sharon had been on the lookout for a Kellen home for almost two years before they moved into their three bedroomed detached Bluebell house on the new Hawks View development in Castleton, Rochdale.
The pair were living in a Simple Life home at Mill Vale, Middleton, a Kellen Homes development which has a mix of homes available to rent and buy. The couple had been renting through The Sigma brand, but were keen to own their home, and had been very impressed by the quality and design of the houses built by Kellen.
George, an IT consultant, takes up the story: “We were renting at Mill Vale and loved the house, but we wanted to own our own place, so we had kept in touch with the team at Kellen and waited for this new development at Hawks View to be ready. As soon as there was a house available, we went to have a look, and we were one of the first people to reserve and move in.”
George who works from home, and Sharon, a nurse, loved the light, spacious living of the Bluebell house design, the en-suite bedroom and fully fitted kitchen which came with high specification appliances. George added: ‘We were so impressed by how close to the station the development is, the lovely French doors opening out to the garden, and how big the rooms are. We love the house.”
The couple had not bought a home before and so were a little nervous about the process, but George said they need not have worried. He explained: “Kellen could not have been more helpful and patient. They supported us at every step of the way explaining what we needed to do and what was happening.”
George and Sharon are now taking their time to add their personal touches to the house. George said: “The house is absolutely beautiful, and we are enjoying being home owners of a brand-new home. I can see us being here for a very long time.”
