We are seeking to appoint a permanent Finance Assistant on a full time basis to join the Finance Team based in Birchwood.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is starting their career to join a fast-growing North West housebuilder and to be exposed to the whole financial process from end to end, with the opportunity to grow with the business.
Reporting into a CIMA qualified Finance Manager, the post holder will be responsible for supporting both the finance department and wider business, whilst at the same time adhering to strict procedures and controls.
Your prime duties will involve:
• Supporting the current Finance Assistant with timely and accurate transaction processing of purchase ledger invoices
• Checking and processing of sub-contract applications
• Daily posting and reconciling of multiple bank accounts
• Assist the Finance Manager with end of month close: prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and ensure completeness of financial data
• Adhoc duties as required by the department
• This is a growing role and duties will increase as knowledge base grows such as exposure to the budget setting process, audit requirements and HMRC audits/reporting.

You will have the following key skills, attributes and experience but not be limited to:
• Have strong team working skills, be results / deadline driven and support partnership working across the whole organisation.
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong numeracy skills
• Ability to use IT packages (outlook and excel)
• Looking to/already started studying AAT
• Have experience in an office environment is advantageous but not essential
Remuneration
• Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year + Discretionary Bonus
• 26 Days Annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays and options to purchase/sell 5 days holiday

• Fully office based 37.5 hours. Working hours are 9am-5:30pm with one hour lunch. There is the option to start at 8am on a Friday and finish at 4:30pm.
