When Chris and Leonna got the keys to their new Kellen three-bedroomed home, they decided to make the most of the well-designed and light space and have created a picture-perfect house that could grace the pages of any style magazine.
The couple moved into their Acacia Kellen home with their ten-year-old son and decided that this was their chance to have everything in their home exactly the way they wanted. The pair had saved for their new house and Chris, as a self-employed electrician, was really impressed by the quality of the Kellen build.
Chris, 41, takes up the story: “We knew we wanted a new house to be a blank canvas for all our design ideas and when we viewed this home, it really stood out. The Acacia has everything we need, and we loved the thoughtful touches like the window on the stairs, the spacious landing and the big kitchen and dining area. The plot itself was great and we felt it was the perfect home for us.
“We brought our sofa with us but other than that we have chosen everything to be exactly what we want. We have even bought new cutlery!”
The pair moved into the home at Vernon Gardens in Royton from nearby Hathershaw and found selling their old home and buying their new dream home just slotted into place.
And the pair love the location which is close to Royton town centre and everything they need. Chris explained: “It’s a brilliant spot. We have the shops, cafes and restaurants and the schools are close by. There’s a great park just five minutes away and I have just walked home from the gym. It’s all on our doorstep.”
Kellen Homes Head of Sales and Marketing, Mollie Tomlinson, said: “It’s lovely to see our modern and spacious homes being so beautifully furnished and styled. Chris and Leonna really have done an amazing job of making it their own and it’s great to hear how well they have settled in.
“Vernon Gardens is a lovely development in the heart of the highly sought-after Royton and it has proved to be incredibly popular with local people who want a quality new home in this thriving community.”
