It was a day of celebration for Kellen Homes when the National House Building Council visited the Vernon Gardens site to congratulate the team on their quality construction award.
Darren Horner, Regional Director of NHBC, visited in person to congratulate site manager Dave Williams and his team for winning the NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ Quality Award for quality construction at the Vernon Gardens site in Royton.
The team turned out in force to mark the visit which is especially significant as Vernon Gardens is the first completed development site for Kellen Homes. Darren toured the site and met the team responsible for building the new homes in Royton and saw for himself the quality and attention to detail that had led to the team securing the prestigious accolade.
Tony Clayton, Construction Director at Kellen Homes, described his pride following the visit. He said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Kellen team who have helped to make this happen – the land, technical, commercial and sales teams and all of the other staff who have helped us to achieve this prestigious award. And of course, the greatest praise goes to Dave and the site team. Quality is at the heart of Kellen Homes and it’s great to have that recognised on a national level.”
