At Kellen Homes we are committed to building a construction workforce for the future with the appointment of seven new undergraduates across our land, commercial and planning teams: Alicia Wharton, Alfie Jones, Daniel Livesey, Elliott Bains, Tristan Fraser, Benjamin Guest and George Ruffley.
2024 has seen Kellen Homes undertake a fresh recruitment drive adding to their Technical, Commercial, Design & Planning, Finance, and Sales & Marketing team as the company continues to grow.
Following our attendance at a key North West construction jobs creation event, Build Salford, Kellen has now also appointed three apprentice joiners to start in July on our developments at Seaford Road, York Street and Bennett Street and a work experience student on a placement at Seaford Road. A further six apprentices are due to start in August in bricklaying, painting and joinery. This is all in addition to the two college students who joined on placements earlier this year.
The new recruits form part of Kellen’s continued growth and strategy for the development of new talent for the business and the wider construction industry.
Kellen Homes Chief Executive, Ian Kelley, outlined the thinking behind the new hires. He commented: “The construction industry faces a chronic shortage of skilled workers and as an ambitious housebuilder with plans for continued growth, we are committed to encouraging and training a new generation of people to our industry. There are lots of opportunities with many varied roles and it is an absolute pleasure to be able to offer these talented and enthusiastic young people placements, apprenticeships and work experience here at Kellen Homes..
‘Not only does it benefit our business and our ability to deliver great homes for people across the North West which are so desperately needed, but it also helps to develop the workforce of the future for the whole of the construction industry.”
