The delivery of almost 1000 new build to rent homes in Greater Manchester is good news for family tenants as they continue to be affected nationally by the short supply of good quality rental homes brought about by low levels of housebuilding and the exodus of individual landlords from the market.
The homes span five former brownfield sites across the city region; Albion Place (Salford), The Gateway (Ardwick), Mill Vale (Middleton) and Irwell View (Bury). Each site will deliver crucial rental homes for working families, in areas in need of regeneration, and create jobs in construction. Four of the five sites have already broken ground, with the fifth due to start in July. The homes will be marketed under Sigma Capital’s Simple Life portfolio.
The news follows the partnership’s recent success at the Property Week Resi Awards where The Gateway single family BTR development was awarded top prize for PRS Deal of the Year.
