Julie has never been busier since she retired from her job, and her new Kellen home has fitted in perfectly to her packed schedule.
The former personal assistant at a large secondary school has recently moved into a new two-bedroomed Hickory home from what she describes as her ‘old and cold’ Victorian terrace and she’s loving the warmth, quality and newness of her two-bedroomed home.
Julie, who has two children and two grandchildren with another expected later this year, spotted her dream home during an internet search.
She takes up the story: “I had decided I wanted to downsize, and I saw the Kellen home online and sent the link to my son who lives overseas. He messaged me straight back and just said, ‘Mum, get yourself down there, the spec on these houses looks really good’ so I went along, met the team and chose my house there and then.”
Julie used the Assisted Move scheme to secure her new home. That’s where Kellen markets your home for you and even pays your agent fees. And she said it couldn’t have been smoother. “My house sold in a week and everyone at Kellen Homes was fabulous. They are so friendly and helpful – they really have all the right people to make it a perfect house moving experience.”
Julie brought most of her furniture with her but has had new fitted wardrobes. And when her son visited at Christmas, he built a bespoke media wall which she loves. She explained: “I am house proud and it’s lovely to have it all clean and new. Everything is organised and I have all the room I want. I have a spare bedroom for guests and plenty of room for me.
“What I really like about Kellen homes is the fact that they have thought of everything. Mine is the smallest home they do, but it still has a downstairs loo and a hidden laundry zone.”
Now Julie spends her time looking after her grandchildren, walking, reading, and socialising. She is busy every day and she loves her life.
