Baby Millie was born on September 21st, weighing seven pounds and 15 ounces at 01.03am – a significant time for the couple as that’s the date of dad George’s birthday.
The delighted pair are now back and enjoying their new home and their new family member. They moved into their new Acacia Kellen home in time to get the nursery set up with pretty pink wallpaper for the arrival of Millie Nicole Shaw, who was born just a few weeks after they moved in.
Lizzie, a primary school teacher, and George, a project planning engineer, both aged 28, had been trying to buy an old ‘doer upper’ home but switched tack when they took a walk one day and viewed the new homes at Mill Vale in Middleton. They bought their new home and managed to get settled before the birth and are now loving their new home and family.
Lizzie said: “We moved in and decorated the nursery before Millie arrived, so the house was ready. It’s been so great to come home and just be able to rest and recover with Millie and George as we get to bond as a family.”
Doting dad George said: “It’s been an amazing few weeks and I am just glad that Lizzie and Millie are both well and here at home. Millie is thriving and Lizzie is a fabulous mum, and we couldn’t be happier.”
Kellen Homes’ Head of Sales and Marketing, Mollie Tomlinson, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Millie to Mill Vale and its lovely to see the community growing. Everyone at Kellen Homes sends their heartfelt congratulations and wishes them well for their future.”
The new family are now looking forward to their first Christmas together.
