Council dignitaries unlocked the doors on three stunning show homes on the sought-after Kellen Homes Hawks View development in Rochdale this week marking the official sales launch of this new development.
The new neighbourhood, which is within easy commuting distance of Manchester city centre, will include 191, high-quality, two, three and four bedroomed family homes. A total of 29 of the homes have been allocated for affordable housing in partnership with Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing Group, and ten available under the First Homes Scheme with just a few now remaining at the discounted price for two-bedroomed homes from £180,600.
Councillors and representatives from Kellen Homes snipped the ribbon to open the new show homes and then enjoyed a tour of the beautifully styled and decorated, three-bedroomed show homes.
Councillor Danny Meredith, cabinet member for housing and regeneration at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “It was a pleasure to take a look around these new homes in Castleton. Not only is this development transforming what was once an unattractive derelict site, it is also creating much needed family homes in a mix of tenures, including affordable, which is really important.
The new show homes have been stylishly decorated by Kellen Homes’ talented interior design team to accentuate the modern design and natural light that floods the homes.
Designer Adam Kitchener of Kitch & Co, the man behind the Kellen Homes show homes, explained his approach: “Kellen Homes always give such a good feel – it’s like getting a hug when you walk through the door and the build itself is smart and stylish with exceptional finishes.
“The styling for the show homes at Hawks View have a very different feel from a cream with rust hues to black and white with a hint of light sage, giving these homes a warm, opulent feel.”
And he added: “The delicate use of colour helps to emphasise the tremendous living space while giving that warm cozy feeling mixed in with elegant modern vibrations.”
This official launch marks a significant milestone in the creation of the new neighbourhood. Hawks View has been designed with community at its heart with 3.83 hectares of open space for local people including a large garden square with a children’s play area that sits in the centre of the development. And to the west, there will be a large green open space within the Green Belt including an ecological wetland and provision of trim-trail equipment.
Mollie Tomlinson, Head of Sales and Marketing at Kellen Homes, said “It is really exciting to see the first homes in this superb new development released for sale particularly given the high demand for our new houses in the area. And once again Adam and his incredible team have created a truly stunning show home. The décor and styling provide the perfect inspiration for people to see the potential of the houses and how to decorate their own Kellen home.”
Mollie expects the remaining houses in the first phase to sell incredibly quickly. She said: “We have had people on the waiting list since the development was first announced because Hawks View is brilliantly located in the very desirable Castleton location with easy access to the city and the transport network.
“If you want to live in this superb area in a perfect Kellen home then you will need to move quickly.”
